No Man's Sky keeps me sane

I don't want to get into the details of all the stuff currently going on in my life but I did want to voice my gratitude for both No Man's Sky and the associated communities such as this subreddit, the Facebook pages and other things.

No matter how messed up things get I always have this notion in the back of my head that sounds something like "But at least later tonight I get to play No Man's Sky". That is always a calming thought.

This game is my "happy place". Like a helpful meditation. Like a support group sort of thing. No game (or anything else for that matter) has ever had that kind of effect on me and I'm just eternally grateful to Sean and the entire HG crew for creating it for all of us.

So this thing came stumbling out of the forest and tried to eat me while I was scanning the native flora. Gotta be the weirdest creature I've seen in game.

After 120 hours and never really exploring the deeps of an ocean or even trying an underwater base i figured it was time. Pleasantly surprised at the variety and detail and even found a sunken freighter.
