It sucks that the game is "cross platform" yet its not really "cross platform". This should be a #1 game quality of life fix for all users. Clearly they can do it for featured builds but I'm trying to check out other players builds in the HUB.

The giant skulls in space are the same as the heads of the giant worms. They must be able to jump forcefully enough to leave the planet and travel through space, seeding the universe with their dna, and any dna of other creatures they've picked up, which is then spread, panspermia style, all over the place as they travel. So it actually makes sense that you see the same basic animals everywhere you go. They all have a common origin point.

Either that or, since the ones in space seem bigger, that life on planets actually comes from space worms, and the dead skin and other dna they shed eventually found it's way to ask the planets.
