Repairing scrashed ships gives more units when scrapping

    Posted: 09 Dec 2019 07:36 AM PST

Probably you suspected this already, but repairing crashed ship gives more value of the scrap and probably more nanite modules too. I found this ship with Nautilion's Sonar:

I repaired the Launch Thrusters and Pulse Drive for it to fly and flied straight to scrap station. Its value was 865k units.

Then I repaired only installed tech, hyperdrive, shield, Photon Cannon, Phase Beam and Launch Thruster augment

The price didnt change, still 865k units.

Then I proceed to repair every red slot. It wasnt very expensive, but only because I hoarded the resources already. I feel only 50 Pugneum was a waste, but all for the science. 200 Activated Copper, 100 Chlorine, 300ish Pure Ferrite, 50 Salt, 100 Phosphorus, 100 Dioxide, 50 Pyrite, 4 Microprocessors, 50 Pugneum in total.

Price of scrap increased to 1,420mil units

So if you have some leftover resources, use them if you want to maximize the units output from scrapping. I don't know if you get more nanites doing so, but I think yes - I got 4 A modules out of this ship while I got 1-3 when not repairing, but amount of modules you get is random anyway.
