Dead on Permadeath

Well with over 45 hours into my first Permadeath session, I finally died. Thankfully it wasn't due to a bug or glitch. This was my first time playing since there initial release.

I was on a desolate planet with no flora. "Failed terraforming" I think. Found my way into a nest of those Xenomorph things, probably six of them. I killed most of them but one ended up just outside of my peripheral. It struck me but I was able to gun it down. I only had one block of health left and just one more creature. It charged at me. I should have ran but I just continued to shoot it in the head, hoping for the best. Then darkness...
