How Ship Building could work without breaking ship hunting Posted: 27 Dec 2019 07:15 AM PST So some players express concerns with how full ship costomization would work. How it might hamper the experience in terms of ship hunting, I have pasted my response to a question a redditor had posted in NMScoordinateexchange. "Hmm, valid points. Perhaps a decent solution could be to allow you to construct a ship solely from the parts of ships you have collected. For example, there is a vendor who would specialize in ship deconstruction. You can select a ship from your current set of ships you own, and have him dismantle it. You will then have those pieces in your inventory at this specific "shipyard vendor". You could save up as many parts as you like, and when you want to construct a ship, you use those parts you have collected. Afterwards, they are no longer usable to craft another ship. Unless said ship is deconstructed. This could make ship hunting still a rewarding task, and would allow you to grab ships just based off a single part you like." It was kind of an on-the-spot idea but I am curious what you guys think. [link] [comments] | ||
