    Yeah, I want to thanks HG for actually listening to us. Hotfix from yesterday in Steam experimental branch:

    - Prevented terrain edits from being made inside a base that you did not have permission to edit, or within 2km of a featured base.

    -Limited the downloading of small bases made near featured bases. Reduced the display radius for base computer markers made by visiting players near featured bases.

    That's how it is my fellow interlopers. We don't mail in vain, we're not invisible. HG is a small team that lacks time to test their own concepts, so they count on you to report what doesn't work. You guys matter, keep sending your feedbacks.

    I really liked the beyond but I wish we had some stuff to shoot and kill like pirates or procedurally generated sentinels.

    Video: How to place a base computer inside a building | How to connect Prefab parts to Wood/concrete/Metal parts | More tips for beginners (7min long)

    A lot of people ask how to move a base computer. While you can't, without deleting the base itself, it can help to put the base computer inside of a building.

    Here's a quick and dirty video showing how to do it.

    No Man's Sky - Easy base building tips for new players

    The video also includes:

    * Connecting prefab buildings and wood/metal/concrete buildings: 2:00

    * Putting a trade terminal in a wood/metal/concrete building: 3:00 (not really. Adding a cuboid room to a wood/metal/concrete building)

    * Building above terrain using a circular foundation: 3:40

    * Using a wooden/metal/concrete stairway to enter Prefab rooms (much more efficient than those wimpy prefab ramps): 4:15

    * Putting wood/metal/concrete flooring on top of a cuboid foundation tower: 5:30

    NOT Shown: Many of the foundation parts, like the Cuboid Room Foundation Strut, and the Cuboid Room Foundation Strut Quad, install AFTER the thing they're supposed to support. So, for instance, put in a cuboid room, or circular room like it's shown in this video, and then delete out the supporting structure. Then install the struts.
